Falling Stars by David Archuleta

When you forget me
When you don’t remember my name
Not even a memory
Somewhere in the back of your brain
I won’t be offended
‘Cause I always knew that the day
Would come when I’m not enough to make you stay
You tell me it’s not possible, no way that we could break
But nothing is illogical, believe me

Like falling stars over your head
We were bound to burn out, burn like crashing cars
I’ll never get over you, never over you
‘Cause you are so beautiful, yeah

The world is turning
And time keeps on lingering on
The sun will be burning
Eventually you will be gone

I’ll always love you
Oh, believe it or not
Baby, that’s not enough to
Not enough to stop these…

Falling stars over your head
We were bound to burn out, burn like crashing cars
I’ll never get over you, never over you
‘Cause you are so beautiful, yeah

When it’s all said and done
I’ll be just a speck in the galaxy
Floating far far away by gravity
You tell me it’s not possible
No way that we could break

Like falling stars
Like crashing cars
Like falling stars over your head
We were bound to burn out just like crashing cars
I’ll never get over you, never over you
‘Cause you are so beautiful
You are so beautiful, yeah

The Star: A Symbol of Hope Or A Sign of Destruction?

For our Literature class (Introduction to Fiction), we have started talking about science fiction genre.  Our professor asked us to read The Star by Arthur Clarke and The Last Question by Isaac Asimov.  The discussion for The Star has started this morning.

The story is about a space voyage of a Jesuit astrophysicist.  Their mission is to investigate nebulae and supernovas.  When they reached a certain space body, the Jesuit adored the beauty the civilization had made and the team had identified this vault with instructions on how to open it.  They found records about the civilization.  As they went back to Earth, the Jesuit tried to solve when did the supernova exploded and when the light had reached the Earth.  To his surprise, that supernova was the Star of Bethlehem.

To start the discussion, our professor gave us questions to ponder:

  1. What makes you “you”?
  2. How does what you believe make you “you”?
  3. What or who is God for the people in your life?
  4. What roles does faith play in your life?
  5. What do you believe in?
Would you like to answer these questions? :)

Deadly Traffic In Katipunan

It is my phone that makes me survive this hell-like situation on the road.

6:30 PM, I asked Andre, my blockmate, to drop me at Katipunan LRT station.

6:50 PM, I arrived the Katipunan LRT station but on the wrong side (I was on the Katipunan to Recto side). It was raining back then.

7:10 PM, I rode a FX going to Parang (I usually ride FXd going to San Mateo or SSS).

7:30 PM, my right foot is stuck between other man's feet. My legs get numb because of my massive bag(I put it on top of my legs).

8:00 PM, I got home.

TOTAL TIME OF TRAVEL: almost 1.5 hours

My BB saved me from hell.

Chat With The 1st Year SOSE Executive Officer

I've been known Milan since my college life has started. We are from the same block in school (Block S2). One notable action he has done is to be a part of the Freshman Sanggu as the 1st Year SOSE Executive Officer.

No Rice Challenge: Day 2

This should have been posted yesterday but I forgot it due to some laziness issues LOL :))

I actually had egg for breakfast again. I didn't have rice of course.

Unfortunately, sinigang, my favorite dish, was our lunch and our dinner as well. DAMN! I couldn't resist the temptation of rice.

Convo With the Current 1st Year SOSE Central Board Representative

I can still remember how we first met. I was in the 2nd floor of the Gonzaga Cafeteria with my blockmates and Milan brought her to our table. People were calling her /ka-te/ so I don't mind using that pronunciation as well. :))

Ateneo College Entrance Test Results

Cheers to everyone who took the ACET.
To those who passed the ACET, breathe.
To those who are waitlisted, pray.
To those who did not see their names on the list, smile.

Today is a breath-taking day for everyone who took the Ateneo College Entrance Test (ACET) and chose Ateneo as their dream school.

No Rice Challenge: Day 1

TRALALALALA :))

This is exciting. It actually started yesterday. My aunt woke me up for breakfast. That was 6:30 in the morning. She served me fried egg and a bowl of noodles. I was looking for the rice but laziness struck me and I just ate the egg and the noodles. I felt full already so I went to take a bath.

During my first break in school, I found that Blue&Gold was selling macaroni (wasn't sure if it's baked or just simply macaroni in tomato sauce but that was so delicious). That's what I ate for my break and no rice as well.

When Mitch and I supposed to separate ways, we wanted to eat lunch first but then I was attracted to this Monster Burger which sells quarter pounder and half pounder beef patties for 90 and 135 pesos, respectively. Well, the burger's good though the patties and the burger itself is relatively small compared to other giant burgers and relatively larger than normal burgers in Mcdo and Jollibee.

At dinner, our viand was adobong porkchop (LOL because the pork used was sliced to porkchop slice). I was staring at the rice but then when I tried to take a piece of pork with less sauce, it tasted good. So, I took out my veggies from our fridge and filled my plate with it. I cooked fried egg as well. Then TADAAAAAAA! My dinner was pork meat, veggies and egg. My source of carbs was a cup of Nesvita.

TRALALALALALA~ No Rice Challenge: Day 1 - Mission Accomplished! :D

Feels Like Parachutes And Airplanes

My part has ended.

Handling the final copies of the magazine to the publisher officially ends my job as the layout artist. I really enjoyed styling the magazine cover and some pages in the magazine. I would like to thank Selina Garcia (BFA AM) and Denise Arandia (BS MIS) for helping me do my job. Congratulations to the super-dooper-happy-artistic people :D

Now what's next?

Just Like A Pill

Hell week starts to stretch its hand to Ateneans. I'm starting to feel its wrath.

Currently, I am working with our En11 Magazine. This should be done until Monday so we can print this on Tuesday and submit it on Wednesday.
Cover Page
Here is the cover of our magazine with out group (which I named "The Team") on the cover.  The photo was taken by Kim Dela Cruz, a friend of Candice Lim (2nd person from the left). Our magazine tackles about different things in the Ateneo, from fashion taste of Ateneans to gadget trends, from dormers to scholars, from athletes to celebrities to student leaders, events and places.

For this Post, I give Just Like A Pill by Pink. Enjoy! :D

Don't Keep Me Waiting

LOLOLOLOLOLOL... I have no idea if there is a song that can say what I feel but I just want to give emphasis on the line "I DON'T WANNA WAIT."

Well, here is how the story goes. I should have met someone at Teriyaki Boy in Katipunan. I was there at exactly 1 PM because that was the time we agreed to meet. I texted the person that morning that I should receive a SMS if we would meet or not. I received none so I assumed we would meet. I was there until 1:30PM and my tummy was very angry. Until I received a SMS saying, "Sorry, I forgot to text you." @_@

LOLOLOLOL The anger I felt this afternoon came from my growling tummy. :))

So for this post, I give you Waiting In Vain. I have no idea who sang the song but it's so relaxing :>

Let The Hunger Games Begin!

Who will you support?

Hunger Games is an annual event in The Capitol where each of the 12 districts are forcefully sending tributes - a boy and a girl between ages 12 and 18 - where they fight for survival.  The rule of the game is to stay alive.

Music Of The Night

"Softly, deftly, music shall caress you"

Here I am again, posting at this moment where almost all are sleeping.

I have just finished my last paperwork for this "Christmas break" (hey, what break? O_O).  Thanks to Leana for helping me develop my thesis statement. Because of her, my 0.05% paper became 5% complete.

After doing my literature analysis paper for Lit13, I finished my final outline for my feature article in En11.

Well, I finished all my work at exactly 3:33 AM.

For this post, I want a relaxing music that is why I chose Music Of The Night.  This is the Andrew Lloyd Webber's version.  The song does relax my tensed nerves.

Give It A Bang With Grenade

For a man who sang "Just The Way You Are", it would be really awful for him not to reciprocate his love. Bruno Mars had given us another music video that brings visuality that will surely take a bullet straight through our brains.

Start of Something New

Hello!

This is my nth blog. You may check my previous site in http://www.truisticideals.co.cc

I have noticed that most people start using Blogger again. I should have used truisticideals as my blog name but I found that I had used it in a previous Blogger. Sad to say, I can't remember the account details I used on that blog.

As the blog name and description says, I usually post blog entries when people here in my country are dreaming at their peaks. I don't mind if I have few hits but I am sure that even a single person in the internet reads my posts. Remember, dawn is the netizens' time.

Now, what can you expect in my blog? This blog would have MP3 posts, video posts, rants, latest news, reviews, and personal views and opinions.

I know this entry is not posted between 12MN to 5AM. This is just a start, just to have an entry to my blog.

For this post, I give you Start of Something New from High School Musical
